I just got back from an absolutely fabulous vacation spent in San Miguel de Allende. It was my maiden voyage and let me tell you, it is stunning. The town is a glorious combination of Spanish colonial architecture and sleek contemporary design. Elements reminded me of the Moorish architecture I saw on my recent trip to Morocco where homes were also built around a central open courtyard. It’s no wonder that San Miguel has become a major destination for American artists and designers.
My friends Andrew Fisher and Jeffry Weisman invited us to their fabulous home. Naturally, I was my usual punctual self which gave Andrew and Jeffry a good laugh (clearly a very American move). They had tequila shots waiting for us and the rest of the night only got better.
